Porsche Carrera 6
One of my all time favourite race cars.
During long or complex builds, there usually comes a time when I 'just want to get something finished'. So it is this time.
The kit is by Arii and is VERY basic indeed. Just about 30 parts or so. Most of the six or seven hours I spent building it, was devoted to body clean up, paint and decals.
By no means a show piece, just a nice shelf filler methinks.
The fit of the headlight lenses was attrocious so I gave it some 'race tape. The drivers side lens was also 'fogged' so I gave it some 'lens damage' tape.

Re: Porsche Carrera 6
Way to fix a problem Al. It gives the racer some character! Don't listen to Paul...we all know it's yellow duct tape in the correct scale! 001

Re: Porsche Carrera 6
I did wonder about the colour but don't have any silver tape thin enough. Maybe I will spray some Tamiya tape and re-do it.

Re: Porsche Carrera 6
I saw one run on a very tight flat "airport" course and it lapped the field. It was a big improvement in the Porsche stable after only flat 4s!

Re: Porsche Carrera 6
Looks good A. Just use some masking tape to mask off the masking tape and paint it in place.
