Tamiya Panzer IV Ausf D in 1/35
I'm calling this one done........for now
there's stuff I would like to do but I'm not confidant enough/unsure how to do it, so they shall wait
til another time
must admit I've thoroughly enjoyed this build.......lots of 'firsts' for me
first time doing the hair spray technique
first time using enamels for stains
first time having a go at figures
with the Universal Calibrated Unit of Comparison

Nice build Paul, I like the weathering & detail painting. Those two foot sloggers don't look too happy.

Nice build. I like that you are trying new things. I try to do that also. Sometimes it turns out good and sometimes it don't. This one is a winner.

When you try something new these days, it's fun to compare it with others on the Net. Many go in for superdetailing, but the look you choose and weathering variation and damage one sees can give new insights and inspiration.
Thanx for a different take on weathering models. Great fotos and figures!!

thanks for the comments, guys....appreciated.......really enjoyed this, although at times it was nerve racking getting up the courage to try each new technique
would you be happy walking to Kiev in the middle of winter?

Re: Panzer IV, Tamiya, 1/35, Eastern Front
Worst of all, the pride of the Nazis made them expect a quick victory before Winter and soldiers had no decent winter clothes. The Russian front was their own self-punishment for their hubris. Nice ending on it. When a model is done, there's always a feeling of relief!
