1949 Mercury Custom
Phew, I'm glad this one is finished. Almost four months in the building and problems all the way.
A member on another site, put me in touch with a Brit company that supplies modeling quantities, of hypodermic syringe needle tubes in a variety of sizes.
I liked Dave's idea of having shortie aerials so much that I decided to go that route. It looks much cleaner than tall aerials.
I chose two sizes of tube, one to fit inside the other plus the correct dia of rod to fit the middle section. They were a pain in the butt on the old eyes to make, but I feel it adds that little bit extra.
