Honest, I didn't really mean to start another kit but between the paint drying on massive C-130, and the endless fiddley, repetitive work on the Grosser Kurfurst. I began started painting this one. I've taken it to a few races to scrape & sand, and I just kept going...….
Two days off work and perfect painting weather and here we are.

It worked! All the electrons must have aligned. It's an ebay find, and it's now mostly decaled. Due to the kits age I shot the decals with some flat clear as insurance. Worked a treat, and they're laying down very well with some setting solution.

Wouldn't you know it, the paint is perfect. And on a kit where 50 % of it is hidden! Oh the irony.....
Waiting on the seat belt hardware to arrive, once that's done the cage can go in. Sometime next week.

Glad to see the pics are uploading for you again Mike.

This looks to be an interesting build, not sure I have seen this kit before.

Excellent work! The interior and body both look superb. I think the perfect paint irony is a normal thing - kind of ties into the idea that when you aren't trying as hard things work out better or something like that. At least that seems to be the way it is with me, lol.

Body decaled. Seat belts next, once I feel like struggling with yet more tiny PE parts.

Nice work on the decals Chris..... I love decaling a race car. They really make it come to life for me.

Engine is mostly done, and in for a test fit. Seat belts are painted masking tape with PE hardware. It should be on it's wheels in a day or two.

How's the pic for size? I've used the 640px width.
