What era would that truck be from? Short wheelbase, good for turning in tight lanes and in towns. Thanx for a cute machine.

They where actually a series of trucks, called the Bedford O series. That ran from the late 1930s until the mid to late 50s. With all different versions from short wheel base tippers to long wheel base removal vans and horseboxes.

I have the long wheelbase in my stash, will get built some day.
Yea, there is a tanker version and also a tow truck version,
I am always on the look out for those two.

The long wheelbase I have is a flat bed, not the tanker

AMT kits in 1/25 were the only things you could get in Dublin car wise, upstairs in Arnotts in Henry St. with the odd 24th scale Monogram back in the day Aido! lol
You'd have to get the Passport out to cross the bridge I suppose

Arnotts?? Never knew arnotts done them back in the day. I always went to Easons on OConnell Street, they used to do tamiya. And had a great selection, used to spend hours trying to decide which kit to buy.
I was born with the passport, my grandfather was a D3 man.

Gorgeous build! Work and utility vehicles aren't the most common subject of builds and this is unique even amongst those. The style is so very 'retro' and classic, it almost seems out of place for a 'dump truck.'

Great looking dump truck. The cab would make a great hot rod base.
