I am curious to know what members think of De Agostini assembly kits. That is, if you are at all familiar with the company and their products.
Below are links to the UK and Japan(Japanese only) sites.

I have looked at these repeatedly but never taken the plunge. They look superb and I think what puts me off is building over two years or so. They do a limited number of complete kits I believe, but these run to about £700. Here is a link to the E type but if you search De Agostini on Youtube there are lots of builds shown.

These are known in the newspaper trade here in the UK as 'part-works' as you get a part with every issue.

I don't know about the quality but I do know that they work out as very expensive and very few ever get completed, as most seem to get bored with maybe a two year build timescale.

The cost is horrendous too. I think the E-Type works out at over £900!!!!!!

Yep, they cost a fortune.

And make Model factory Hiro, a known quantity, look cheap...

Thank you for your input gentleman. I have been looking at the new 2016 Movistar Yamaha YZR-M1 in 1:4 scale. The expense is matched only by its' scale and the length of time to complete.
