1962 Electra
Ebay purchase. Under the thick black paint was a pristine body shell. Really crisply moulded, so an early one I assume. With new tooling for the rest of the kit, it would stand up today.
Only missing the battery, air cleaner & firewall. Neither are a big issue. Not a lot one can do with the one piece chassis, other than paint. The "Wildcat 445" got a power steering pump, plug leads. Choke heat riser & fuel lines to come.

Great start! The chassis looks good, amazing what paint can do for one piece mouldings. Looking forward to seeing the rest.

Re: 1962 Electra
Today's update. After the Taxi fiasco, I'm happy with modelling again. Engine in, though the power steering pump needs some attention.
Shot Tamiya Camelot Rose today. I missed some defects on the front guards, so painting is suspended for a revisit to the sanding bowl.
Interior & roof will probably be a light tan.

Re: 1962 Electra
The engine looks good even with the wonky power steering pump. The body colour is definitely eye catching and unique.

Re: 1962 Electra
Lovely color combination. Luckily, the firewalls were quite simple back then.

Re: 1962 Electra
Nice! The floor is worth careful consideration as it will be highly visible and the overall tone will be affected by the top down convertible display mode. Looking forward to seeing what you choose to do.

A beautiful period color - as I recall, with lots of chrome.
