| When I was across the pond to stay with my very good friend John Johnson, he pretty much bullied me into building models together. Well one model each to be precise. And I am so glad he did as it seems to have rekindled my enthusiasm. I left the model that I built with John and no doubt he will be posting it and his own in due course. So onward and upwards, this is what I have chosen for my proper (I hope) return to the hobby I love so much. And guess what, It was a gift from John. Thanks Bro. I'm SO tempted to do the stock version but at the moment there seems to be quite a fit issue with the bonnet, so we'll see. If not the stock version it's going to be the custom _________________ Al.

| Nice haul!
The bonnets on those old Vickys are somewhat flexible, I think there's a weak bit to allow you to cut the sides off.

| I knew if I could get you building here you would probably continue when you got home. Here's hoping I was right. I had to give you the Vicky because I couldn't pry it out of your grip that last day. I'm still fighting with the paint job on my build and have to go for that eye surgery (minor and fast recovery) in a few days so it will be a couple of weeks before our builds get posted. Guys, I/m telling you Al's visit ranks as one of the best three week stretches in my life. My wife has come to think of Al in the same manner I do; He is family!!! _________________ John Johnson

| Thanks for all the encouragement guys. So getting the bonnet to fit entailed fitting the interior and getting the interior to fit correctly entailed fitting of the glass which entailed slight modification of the rear seat back and rear interior sides which wasn't imediately obvious!!!!! LOL. Anyway, it's done now and so building it stock with engine is a goer. YAY!!! _________________ Al.

| The grille is always the last thing to glue in in the old amt kits to get a reasonable fit.
Looking forward to stock Vicky Al.

| Got the primer laid..... ...... now comes the tricky part, deciding on colour. My choices are one of these...... ...... or trying to mix something as close as I can get to the stock box art. (see above) What do you guys think? OBTW, I'd like to have cream wheels too. _________________ Al.

| IMHO, that green would look good with cream wheels and black running boards _________________ Don't think you're on the right road just because it’s a well-beaten path.
