I have 2 scrap Escort Mk2 shells, I'll have to make glass.

I'll have a look.

I've had this kit for a while with the thought of doing a Baja Style Rally Car with it similar to this Nova Pic.

The wheels and tires will be sourced from the parts box; besides a suspension lift and tire change it should be a pretty straight forward build.

I will be putting together this rather old Tamiya kit. The decals are in poor condition, but I will try my hand at some serious weathering to offset them.

Paul: The body looks as though you could clear coat it and go from there.

The first assembly looks rather plain but has good potential for painting and weathering.

Into what i call a roller front and rear suspension sub assemblies in place. Just need to apply some black detail wash here and there then moving onto the interior cage and tub

People would pay for those 'flow' lines to be added to a real car.

NISMOR34: Looking good. I see quite a bit of difference in the engineering of our two rally cars.

I'm at about the same stage. Now it's on to the interior.

All pretty interesting. I luv the Rally world, especially of the past. Thanx for a fine idea! The old E.S.C.I. line of Euro-cars would've been good as well, and many could be modified a bit from road race livery to rally. Of course, my past comments on the gorgeous Lancia Stratus ones would be tops for me.

I don't quite know what I was thinking. Now the underside is finished. Time to shod this beast and find out if there is any life in the decals and dry transfers.

I was pleasantly surprised with the dry transfers and decals. They went on with few problems. Only one of the dry transfers created problems when it curled up under itself. But I was fortunate to get it back into its' proper place. One of the decals broke up during application. Plentiful amounts of setting solution allowed me to position it on the wheel. Now for the interior and roll cage.

Perfect looking so far. Patience with decals is something few of us have!

The interior went together quickly and easily. Now it's time to get started on the shell.

Looks great, Cole.

Since the SMS Emden is coming to a close, I'll get in on this before the deadline.

I was a little reluctant to build this one since I saw them going for $80 to $90 US on Ebay. However, the ESCI Lancia Stratos I have in stash turned out to be a LeMans car.
