Trying a water marbling technique. 1st try - have too much white. I'll work on that.
Wanted to keep the saddle shape, but narrower, so, I pie cut the seat about 3/8 inch.
I also shortened the front fender about 1/2 inch. Little wanky getting the braces between the forks, So, i'll wait until I have the paint done before putting the forks on the frame. (I have it on backwards on this mock-up shot )

front forks in, tank on...starting to come together

decided that since this is mostly matt black, gloss black, aluminium or chrome it needed some colour so tank and front fender have been sprayed an orange.........its actually Tamiya TS-12 which is what Honda HRC race bikes front wheels get painted

Upholstered the seat w/ halfrounds and built up the back of it to match rear fender contour.
Was pretty stoked to get the water marbling panel paint base  really good this time ( see fender). I am hesitant to mess with it for the main paint color. I'm gonna be majorly miffed when I screw it up !!

Paul: Nice clean job. Great work.

Geezer: The marbled paint looks awesome. I wouldn't go any further with it.

Clay: Very interesting and a nice match to what you are building.
Paul: That was fast! The exhaust is beautiful.

The kit portion of the engine is done. Now to add the many extras from Top Studio. Also, the frame, sans swinging arm has been test fitted.

Finally have a little progress to report. I was struggling to align the masking tape for the headlight panel. All of that fiddling broke off one of the spindly brackets I had fashioned, so, I made new ones. Heavy duty !

Meanwhile, lacking a speedometer, I went like we did on my XS 650. Installed a tachometer. I made a tachometer to mount on the handlebars (used a 1/25 scale flathead distributor)

Finished masking the remaining panels, the fenders and the head light , and got them in a coat of body color.

Clay: Looking forward to seeing it all come together.

The engine is done for now. After attaching it to the frame I can add the rest of the wiring.

Thank you Cole, those plug wire caps really stand out ! LOL.
Really crappy weather here in Florida keeping me from clearing painted parts. Holding things up a bit.
Cheers,
Geezer

I have been having computer problems.
It only seemd=s to be effecting the host image feature on this forum. I have loaded the same photo in my Geezer;s Garage Face book page with no problems.
I have tried another foto  in the test section with the same bad results.
I an going to try it one more time.
I have the piped installed.

## The photo came up huge again, so, I deleted it. This photo is the same size in my files as all of the others I have posted. There is something in the host image program that my cumputer has somehow compromised.
I do not have another site since I abandoned Photobucket.
I'll have to look around again for an alternative hosting site.
I have the modelalmost all completed. If you're anxious you can catch up on Geezer's Garage facebook page.

Don't know what else to suggest Clay. Hang in there though, I've contacted the help forum so someone there will no doubt know what to do about it.

This all started when I got a garbled message in my E-mail, and I zoomed the page to get it readable. I didn't get that back to it's normal size, I suppose.. Why it effects the host image feature here, and nowhere else is beyond me.
