I started mine while the voting was being finalized, So, I'll continue on in this thread. Here's what I have done up to date:

I have been kicking around with motorcycles in one way or another, since the late 1950's
But I have never built a model of one. So, here I am with a gifted baggie of one that had been partially assembled (engine and frame).
I simply can't merely assemble a kit. I have a nagging urge to mess with everything.
I think I want to try making this into a mild street/drag bike
My first reaction was to widen the rear tire into a 'slick'. I cut a strip of plastic bottle for the wider tread. and a smaller sheet plastic one for the inner hub.

Then, I sliced the rear tire in half !

Took the engine and frame out for disassembly, the most aggravating part of this kind of modeling, Ultra careful to not damage fragile parts or fingers !

HMmmm, more butchery. I decided to rake the forks. An eyeball amount (even with bad eyeballs { I get another shot this afternoon}), and I have no idea yet how long I will have to extend the forks !
I stripped the engine assembly and painted it. Stripped the blingy chrome off some other parts, not sure which will be used. I will have to widen the tail section of the frame and then continue pondering how I will make a believable drive train.
The widened rear tire was a little too flexible, so, I have hopefully strengthened it by lining the inside with Gorilla Glue.

Little diversion today whilst stuff is drying.
At the risk of ticking off any purists who may be looking in, I am once again invoking a disregard for the laws of physics regarding 'Imagineering', and I'm going for a belt driven open primary on this Triumph.
I started by using four 1/24 scale hub caps for the pulleys.

When I came in and downloaded the camera, I seen from the photo that the drive pulley was too big. My nap was destroyed as I pondered how to change this.
The solution came to me and out I went to dismantle an old cassette for one of the guide wheels. Perfect !

Maybe, I can even use a couple of layers of the tape for the belt !

When I first started salivating over this build, knowing I wanted to hop it up some,My mind went back to the early 1970's when one of the things I tried on my Harley chopper waswhen I obtained an intake manifold to adapt a SU carburetor in place of the tired Linkert. I found a used SU from a MG, and that ran really well on the bike.
So before I started this build my mind was made up to replace the Amals with SUs. I started to scratch build a pair and brought my self up short after making the tops. The lower end of the Amals was so similar , I just cut the tops off of them and put on the homemade SU units.

Sailing along pretty good. Got the engine in the frame, made new spark plugs. Getting the SU carbs set up, taking some indecent liberties with a pair of coils, etc.
Time to set up the drive train and, guess what ...FUBAR.... I have the rear of the frame horribly misaligned !! Tore it apart and giving it up for the day !!

YIIPEE! Last repair seems to work.
Have the rear wheel mounted and the drive train completed.

Using the cassette tape itself for the belt I decided that would be too flimsy and even harder for me to work with, so, I went for a wide rubber band for the belt!

I had set up the carbs to be mounted with brilliant plan that proved to be too intricate for me to pull off.
in an almost desperate attempt to finish it out with no damage to  anything, I abandoned any attempt at even my fabled 'imagineering' and resorted to just plain old redneck ingenuity.
