Hi all some of you may remember this

Well I did it originally purple and gold but the sun turned the gold to chrome and I hated that sooo, I thought I would try and give it a second chance.

It's going (if my skills are up to it) get this in itĀ

It means a LOT of work (gearbox tunnel to say the least)

Encase anyone has not seen this beast before on top is a 1/32 humber snipe I'm working on.

I remember !! All that great detail in this model and the very disappointing paint job.
With a V-8 !!! What's not to love about that !!
You go, man !

What a great idea! Steering is going to be heavy though. Power assist anyone.
Cool hoist pics too!

Hi all been messing about with wheels just can't decide does this look ridiculous

I really like the small wheels at the front but the rear (although bigger) I think don't look right in the wheel arches (of course I could remove the wheel arches)
Or if I mix wheel rims what about this

Or keeping the same rims (Still smaller at the front)

There is surprisingly very little difference on ground clearance at the front considering how much bigger these wheels are

Though I am biased I do prefer the look of the big rear wheels. But bear in mind that is the North American bias. Looking forward to seeing what you decide to go with.

Hi all well my soldering is world famous for being abysmally poor so here is my best effort at the headlight bar.

I've installed the engine and radiator also done the wheels with the large at the front and small at the rear. Loads of connections still to me made to the engine and got to figure out the exhaust system.

I like how the big little wheels look. This is a sharp build.

Getting in a little late to join in on this discussion.
As an avid old school traditional hot rod fan, I'll venture this.
I like the big n' little look of wheels on a hot rodded car.
There was, and still is, a faction that wanted an aggressive look, cheaply, and would mount large rear tires on a stock rear end that would cause the tires to protrude past the fender line.
Distasteful in my book.
Pro Streeted muscle cars will have a narrowed rear end that will keep the big meats nicely tucked under the fenders.
Engine swaps to a larger mill and performance tires with nice looking wheels are a hallmark of hot rodding.
I will say that the fancy scroll work would take you out of danger of being classified as a hot rod. LOL
Please excuse the negative ramblings of an old, old, curmudgeon !

If you are going to do this, do it right. The profile of this car is just BUTT UGLY. No matter what engine or wheels. Section the back side window to at least half the size, get rid of the goofy scroll work and paint and it black with a flame job. Don't use the modern wheels. They are ugly just on their own merit. Use the mag wheels and the big and little tires even if you do leave it front wheel drive. The little tires are still more meaty than the stock tires.
