I can see the shine Shay, nice paint work.
I like the hood scoop Dan.

I am trying to detail up the engine. Its pretty plain. There is a lot of flash and mis-mated mold lines as well as sink marks. Added a thin piece of sheet to the tops of the air cleaners to hide a mis-matched seam line, added some hardware to hold them on since there was nothing there originally. And using some PE screen to give the air cleaners a little detail and then brushed on some Molotow. Had to make distributors none supplied in the kit and wire them.
I have started working on the interior as well.

Nice amount of detail Mitch. I'll have to get some of those resin nut/bolt heads.
Good progress Dan, the hood scoope is very fitting.

A bit of progress on my end. Sprayed the chrome with MOLOTOW? This stuff is killer, the more you lay down the brighter it gets.

Also sprayed wa narrow chrome band around the base perimeter of the shell.

I used liquid latex to mask the front wheel aero covers/brake cooling veins.

Rum/Cola is tonight's choice.

Got some primer on the body and immediately noticed lint in the primer in several spots

I hate this time of year for painting, as the air is so dry, making static a huge problem.

I'll pick up some new tack cloths tomorrow.

Third attempt trying to get the little red stripe on the front splitter, I'm out of practice lol.
Finally got there with the new Tamiya tape 'for curves'

Why Tamiya can't give a decal for it is strange really.

Any pics of that liquid mask Curt and how do you apply it?

They're plastic Curt. Look on model railroad sites. The producer is Tichy Trains Group. Here is a set on eBay https://www.ebay.com/i/292421272955?chn=ps

They come in many sizes. With and without washers.

I here ya Shay, I'm rusty too.  It would be interesting to know why Tamiya didn't add that strip in the kit.

Thanks for the link Mitch.

It is about the consistency of paint, can be cleaned and thinned with ammonia. Even with the ammonia
It's hard to clean the brushes even with ammonia. I usual coat the brushes with liquid silicone before I start
with the latex.
I recently switched to silicone sculpting tools, no idea what they are actually called.

The decals for the body are now complete. I am not sure if this decal was an intentional joke or not. The cabin is also complete, so now it's on to the wheels and undercarriage.

Great job by everyone in here. I would have joined in but I don't have a suitable kit.

Looking real good Cole. Re the Pennzoil decal, gotta love when a design team has fun with their job. Almost sounds like it's for a condom not oil, maybe some 'lube'.

I messed around with the tire's from this kit using my worn hot lap tire method I posted in the tutorial section today.

Great job so far everyone. As I've hardly touched the Peugeot I'm changing my entry to a Willys gasser.

Having already built the street rod version I know what a nice kit this is. I should have some progress soon.

That's a great kit, goes together with very little to no issue.

I see I have some competition. Let's see how that blown HEMI holds up against my alcohol injected big block Chevy

I have a feeling this will be your view

Lots of great work in progress here.  Nice to see all the participation.

My Tamiya TS15 finally arrived.  I was amazed to see how Tamiya matched their plastic color of the model to their TS15 color.  I could have gotten by just painting the spoiler's side plates and the seat area, but I had already primed everything.  So, progress can continue now.

Great work everyone.

Dan: I'll see your big block Chevy and raise you a funny car. I have finished the Gazelle, so now I can turn my attention to The Mongoose.

Some incredible work going on here; great job in getting over the finish line first Cole with a crisp build.

Picking away at the sub assemblies here and have the tires done. Two sets of Monogram rims were used; one damaged that were used for the inner rims and the others were sanded from the back to open them up. Parts box brakes and the front spindles were made from scrap plastic. The tires were reversed (non-raised letter) side used and goodyear decals added.
