Paul: The metallic finishes look spot on. Nice work.

Nice work on the Bentley Paul.
I really like the car your building Cole
I'm not sure about this tri color paint job Dan but the application is top notch.

I got a little more done on the Speedster. Finished the engine and have started on the interior.
I used embossing power to try and make the seat look suede like the Ferrari seats. PE seat belt hardware. The ride height is right were I want it.

I still have detail painting to do and trim. I am trying to decide if I like the tonneau cover yellow or if I should make it traditional black. What do you guys think?

I got the pearl white layed down tonight. Pics to come.

As usual, there is a couple bits of trash that ended up in the paint. It looks to be either cat or rabbit hair.

Since it is pearl, and not metallic, I'm hoping I can take some 6000 or 8000 grit, and get the trash out then lay down the clear.

Paint looks good Dan.

Mitch, those wheels look soooo much better then the kit wheels. Dash looks bang on, very nice seat belt hardware.

Decals next for me, they finally arrived in the mail today.

Mitch: That's looking very good. I always liked the cover over the interior(whatever the proper name is).
Curt: The decals should really transform the Mazda. Looking forward to it.

Cheers Cole, but it's a Porsche, hope the decals don't transform it into a Mazda

Looking forward to seeing what you do with 'The Mongoose'.

Curt: No offence intended. The C class vehicles look very similar to me.

It's time to get started on the blown, nitro-powered Mopar engine. I'll be stripping and repainting most of the chrome parts.

All good Cole, no offence taken. It's pretty hard to offend me. Agreed, those cars do look very similar.

Decals on, still need multiple treatments of Micro Sol.

I've been doing some work on the engine of the Willys over the past couple of days.

I'm thinking of giving the chrome parts a coat of flat clear to take the shine off it a bit.

Good stuff Tim, keep it going.

Wrapped this one up today. I totally messed up on the windshield. Thought I was using Varsol to wipe the black weathering off to look like a wiper streak, then realized I had grabbed the acetone can doh! Oh well it is what it is.
Sorry for the dark pics I haven't got a good photo booth set up yet, and for some reason the camera does not like the light spectrum from LED lights so I can't get enough light without lines.

Looking forward to the funny car Cole.
Nice engine Tim
Great weathering job Curt. I don't think the windshield accident is very noticeable. I would have been none the wiser if you hadn't said anything,

I am nearing the finish line with the 356A Speedster. Just need to scratch build some exhaust and outside door handles. I stole some more parts from a Fujimi 356B/C kit. Headlights and rock screens... They look way better than the Revell kit parts.

Here is a sneak peak at what I have coming up next with a 356C Speedster. I grafted some 911 rear fenders on and I am going to use some BMW wheels and tires. May not make it a race car though, I haven't decided.

Thanks Mitch, perhaps the windshield looks like condensation.

Nice looking end product, the head like screen is really cool. I really dig the fender flares on the new build. Good luck with it.

Nice work Mitch.

Curt, it looks like the car in front has just blown it's engine and you have oil all over the windscreen.

That's what I would have said anyway! lol

Incredible job by all the builders; some great artistry here!

Making some slow progress as I work to get the Camaro up on wheels:

Great job Curt.

Mitch, that's the best build of that kit that I've seen.

More progress on the Willys.  The interior has been assembled and sprayed satin black with the roll bar padding painted Revell Anthracite to add a bit of variety.

As the front suspension is all silver I assembled it before painting.

The rear suspension has also been part built and painted.

Too late, good thought though. ☺️

Excellent craftsmanship all around! I really enjoy this build. The Porsches, so cool. I never saw the headlight "screen guards" in scale before. Big Camel Porsche came out fine. It does look like after-race gunk anyway. Fine work!!!!

Thanks guys.

I finished the exhaust. I used two sizes of solder and a piece of aluminum tube. My first time soldering it all together instead of super glue.

I am posting it up in the finished section

Wow, Incredible craftsmanship on that exhaust Mitch; Tim, those seat belts are very well done.

The Camaro is up on wheels and I placed the body on it to see how that combination of parts I threw together worked.  The stance is a bit high in the back (but I can live with that).  I pulled out a BB Chevy from the bin (A Revell item I believe) rather then fix the MPC item with its excessive glue.  Painted Chevy Red.

Glad to see a whole lotta great work going on in this CB.  Great job, guys.

I'm really beginning to dislike this Tamiya kit.  The air ducts at the front wheels kept falling off; the front wheels being stationary, ended up pointing in 4 different directions; the decals seem to have been spotted with something - would not release from the paper in tiny spots; the rear spoiler mounting slots didn't line up with the assembled uprights and had to be filed wider.  I'll be glad when this one's finished.

Got some decals on and tires painted.  Benn stalling on the injector horns - chrome is terrible on the sides and I'm debating whether to strip them and redo or go with as is.

Decals on here also and tiny tires painted.  The dot on the 'elf' decal is where it stuck to the decal paper.

Keep up the good work, guys - looks like everyone is enjoying themselves.
Mike
