Re: 1/17 Lo Scorpione
Hi all here is the next update. They supply laser cut wood bits for the bow or steel for as they call it expert builders. I've tack glued one of the laser cut bits to the steel as a template for cutting. Here is where I need help the supplied metal is so hard a file won't even scratch it, what I have so far was done with a sanding belt. What would you suggest I drill the holes with I have high speed drill bits but I'm not sure they would drill through this stuff.

Re: 1/17 Lo Scorpione
?? Seems strange that they would provide hardened metal and expect it to be drilled and shaped.
Most interesting subject.

Unusual kits can provide an interesting break from "the same old thing." It looks similar to the old siege weapon, the trebuchet (tray-boo-shay). i remember seeing full size ones at the prestigious I.I.T. (illinois institute of technology) some years ago in Chicago. Enjoy the model!

Cool model of a very unusual subject. Not sure what to suggest for the metal situation - maybe a carbide tipped bit? Hope you are able to figure out an easy solution.
