Pink Chevy
As most of you know I have been fighting with poor health since January. So far this year my score card has read:
January: Severe pneumonia with a stay in ICU and a week in the hospital.
February: L-1 to L5 laminectomy.
April: Left total knee replacement.
July: Accidental fall with bruised ribs and bruising of the newly replaced knee.
Late July: Another accidental fall with a torn rotator cuff and broken rib.
August: Rotator cuff surgery.
Im not looking for sympathy, but just wanted you to know why I have been virtually inactive on the forum. I just have not had either the desire or the ability to work on any of my dioramas or contest cars.
On to a more happy note. Shortly before my second fall my wife and I were visiting family in Idaho. While sitting at the kitchen counter my 5 year old great granddaughter climbed onto the stool next to my and told her mother that she wanted to talk to me. Her mom said to go ahead, but Charlotte told her she wanted to talk alone! Mom leaves!
Charlotte: Papa...
Me: Yes.
C: Can you make me a PINK car.
M: I guess I can.
C: Can you put a girl in it?
M: Yes.
C: Okay, Bye.
Away she went. I had been given my assignment.
I decided to use a Revell Snap kit 1957 Chevy Bel Air because it would take the minimal amount of work. I didn't do a WIP because the building takes very little effort. In any event, here is a photo of Charlotte with her Pink car.
Now that I have actually finished something this year I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things.

Re: Pink Chevy
You finished it for her then. Nice job John.
Charlotte is sure going to break some hearts when she grows up, she is lovely John, you must be so proud of her.

Re: Pink Chevy
Thanks for the kind comments guys. Charlotte is a clone of her mother. Put photos of them side by side and it's hard to tell them apart. The mother, Shila, is absolutely beautiful both inside and out. Based on here personality I think Charlotte will grow up the same way. As you can tell, I'm definitely biased for both of them. Thanks again.

Re: Pink Chevy
That is one happy, smiling kid! And the Pink Chevy is a thing of beauty - I recall seeing something similar waaaay back as a kid, a Mary Kay agent who loved her vintage car but I don't think it was a Chevy Bel-Air style. Awesome!

Way cool !! Charlotte will have a life long treasure to remember her grampa by, I'm sure !
Every time I visit my daughter in her dealership office, there sits her pink 69 Camero model on her shelf.
Cheers,
Geezerman
