A test fit for the body. A good bit of shaving was needed to get it right, especially with the air vents.

Some of these photo etched parts are a real challenge to handle due to their size.

A passible attempt. That was really fiddly.

Dashboard and shifter installed. I don't think I'll get the boot shut with the spare wheel in. I'll figure something out.

Great work on the interior. If the spare tire sticks out too much, could youeither use a thinner tire from another kit or just take a slice off the backside of the existing tire?

Hi Mike, and thanks. It's actually the hinges on the trunk which will most likely get in the way.

I have used the 5 point seat belt system in several of the cars I have built. I can feel your pain. The parts in super small.

The interior detail is superb! Though the PE bits are a real fiddly exercise in patience the results are worth it.

Thanks all. I'm doing the final test fit for the stance. Personally I think the wheels should be pushed in a touch, what are all your thoughts on this?

Also, can anybody recommend a way to maybe dull the chrome wheels a bit? I know Al mentioned a brush on substance once but I forget what it is. Or maybe I should leave them bright chrome? What do you fellows think?

I think the wheel position looks good. I wouldn't tuck them in any more that a millimeter if you do. You could probably sand that much off the back of the wheel center to get them to go in just a fuzz.

I have use a dull coat clear to take the brightness off the kit chrome. With this being a road car it could be said that the owner paid to have the rims and spokes chrome plated and just leave them as is.

I have had a look at a few and the wheels when chromed do tend to be highly polished, a lot though are painted silver like the one below.Which also shows that Mitch is correct, if you move the wheels in they don't need to go far, they do seem wide to the body on the real cars. At the end of the day you need to be happy that it looks 'right' David. For what its worth I think its stunning!!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I've pulled the back ones in by about 1mm. It does look a bit better.

Gary, is that from Forza 5? I've put many, many hours into number 6. I especially like the fact you can dabble with different colours and vinyl design for different cars. It's helped with my models quite a lot just too see how it would look.

Rear end looks much better now Dave.

I have a can of Humbrol flat clear which dulls down the chrome a little bit, the Revell paint pot of their version, will give a more Aluminium effect straight on the chrome with a brush.

Always test first. Ferrari 250 GTO (Revell) - Page 3 1705482731
