Judging by those wheels, I guess you may be doing a Jalopy Sam!! Looking good.

I had intended doing this one in Gold as I don't have a Gold car in my finished models collection, but the Zero Paints Coarse Metallic Gold looked very wishy washy so.......

Silver never crossed my mind for a 32, but it looks nice and is unusual too Al. A bit of clear and that will be nicer than gold.

Any pearls of wisdom on how to mask off the black roof insert properly? I haven't tried my newish  Tamiya "bendy" tape yet.

I nearly did paint the shell when I was at it, then I remembered it was forbidden!! LOL

I didn't dare paint the body shell yet! LOL

Sand that shizzle off

That's what I'm going to do

The roof has a good line. I'd use a couple of pieces of masking tape, and use the trim line as a guide to trim the tape.

I'm afraid of ghost lines if I sand it off Dan. I'll give the masking a go I think, it should be reasonably easy.

I had trouble with a shaved 57 Chevy ages ago, someone said you can clear coat the plastic before paint to stop them I think, but the clear I use would eat the plastic.

Maybe it was a coat of MEK brushed on, I can't remember, it was too late by then anyway.

Wait a day or two and see how I do it.

Ah yes, I remember you telling me about Micropore tape, the roll I have is only 12.5 mm wide.

Goes down to the Chemist's tomorrow, can you get it 50 mm wide? that would do the trick.

The motor mounts are on upside down so he can get the distributor back out of the hole...

Just googled it!

50 mm is produced, hopefully I can find it easily, there's 6 or 7 shops close by.

Now, that's a cool color combo, Al. I'd stick with it.

Shay - nice yellow. They sure have some colorful brooms in Italy. LOL
