3 window hot rod
Almost a week of non-stop rain has kept me from taking my garage backdrop out to fotograph the cabover. I have made a start on this 'orphan'.
Started by building a perch for a 'suicide' front end and mounts for a 'nailhead' engine painted Chevrolet orange just to be mean.
Recessing the firewall.

Great start! I really like the body styling on this one. I'm also hoping you're going to keep the front fenders (personal bias here, lol)

Great work clay. Always love the look of a fuel injected nail head. Great job in recessing the firewall.

I found this grill shell in the salvage. Shaped a radiator to fit, and cut off the tacky headlights with chromed lens'. I'll be taking off those brackets and mount headlights low on the front of the frame rails.

This body has a rumble seat. The lid had major gaps. so. I had Igore weld it up and fill the seams. Touch up the tail lights and add a small apron for the rear bumper.

I put up an update Saturday but I guess I forgot to post it after I did a preview.

Mixed up a very pale yellow with One Shot. I'll let it gas out for a while and se what turns out. Seems like this enamel paint tends to shrink down as it gasses out and shows EVERY minor flaw. So I won't proceed until I see if it'll be allright !
