Jada diecast in metalic blue, loads of chrome and modern wheels. Obviously all that had to go!
So. A quick sand, and while searching the net, I found a few images of Chevrolets in German service in WW 2.
Captured or impressed, I don't know, but they were used. So here goes.

Pics will follow once this ancient PC decides to play the game

Body painted. Working on the glazing ATM.

The jokingly titled 'engine'. Not a lot to be done here. I was going to narrow the block and use a parts
bin rocker, but its just not worth it.

That is a cool body !!!
Probably not easy to do much heavy modifying on metal.
In war livery, this should be a stunning model !!
Good luck,

Its billed as 1/24th, from memory. Jada scales can vary, some are more like 1/26-7 ish.

Its progressing well, got the wheels & glazing sorted today. Pics to follow tomorrow. Time for bed here in Australia.

The idea of building a model "almost stock" by having it be a special use one (fire, police, business, military) is always a neat idea. Good luck!

Parts bin wheels & tyres, the hubcaps are plastic buttons with the eyelet at the back butchered dremeled off. They're oversized, but convey the intent well enough.
Divisional signs are ancient Tamiya 1/35 armour, they're from the 1980s!

Its billed as a Master Deluxe, but its more like a Master 85. Beam front axle, floor shift, yet it has the optional reversing lights, headlight monitors, and the fresh air heater. End of history sermon, on to the model..........

The flash has lightened the German Grey paint. On that topic, I discovered auto store 'machinery grey' is a near perfect match for Tamiya German Grey. One Dulcoted, you're hard pressed to spot the difference.
