Name the car (Game)
The idea is to post just a small part of a car and for others to try and guess what it is. The winner then starts a new one.
These are the rules:
1. Only cars from mainstream manufacturers allowed. (no 'specials', kit cars, hot rods, one off's etc.) Year dates are from 1920 to present. You may also include some information on the subject if you like, such as country of origin. This can be done at the start of each game or at any point before it ends.
2. Further cropped and larger images may be posted if nobody correctly posts the answer. Give at least six hours before posting a larger image.
3. Each 'game' must not run for more than 24 hours before the 'reveal' takes place. (this is to keep the game 'fresh')
4. If someone guesses the correct answer, or after 24 hours has elapsed, you must post the full photo.
5. The person with the correct answer starts a new game. If nobody gets the correct answer, the game starter may go again, nominate someone or throw it open to whomever gets there first.
6. Answers should include the make, model and preferably the year. (although there will be overlap on year)
7. No pixelation or distortion of images is allowed.
8. HAVE FUN.
OK, I'll kick it off with something fairly easy.

Not sent off ... just being brought into play after half time lol
I'lll bet your sitting there saying "that Colin's being a sneaky bugger, a low production version of a popular British classic in the 50s, built as a lightweight track car"
Black cat cigarettes were probably all the rage too

Hmmm Less interest in this than i (and probably Al) thought there would be
this is the car 1950 XK120 lt2
I'm choosing to nominate another for the next game
I wrote the names that had posted here on bits of paper, stuck them in a tin and pulled one out after a shake
Curt .... you won mate ... post away.

Re: Name the car (Game)
I followed the rules Shay ... i thought people would be using the tinterweb to try and find it ... can't see the point of playing if it's easy
no worries ... i'd rather guess than set the question to be honest.

No, I'm not giving out Colin, it's just a shame you didn't get a chance to show a bigger pic of the jam jar, I couldn't find a starting point from the first pic.
I was looking at pre war Alfa Romeos for some reason!
And I do agree, it shouldn't be easy

I couldn't have told you what it was with the full pic other than it was a Jag of some sort.

Re: Name the car (Game)
When this new posting began I thought it would be like those really hard multi-pic car quizzes. This seems more fun!

I think that looks like some sort of old Renault. It looks familiar to me.
