Airfix new tooling kit.

Lovely little kit well up to modern standards. The decals were a joy to work with. The undercarriage outer wheel doors were a tad fiddly to attach but other than that it is a great little kit.

I chose to represent it in it's more successful night fighter role for convenience and to be a bit different.

Airfix have a 1:48 version in the pipeline, to be released I believe on July 25th:

Going to get me one of those!!

Thanx for the info on the Defiant. I knew little until now. Movietone news clips put viewers back into that era. Builds like this one are informative and fun!

Beautiful looking build, Al. Very nice sheen to the finish.

Thanks guys.

Mike..... Airfix calls for the paint to be matt black, which it may well have been BUT I hate matt black as it just seems to absorb all light!
