Some latex splattering, then clear green.

Clear green, with black shading. I might have gone a little over board with the shading at this stage. I forgot I still have a couple more stages where the shading is laid down again.

Final paint, although I may 'try' and add some more green to the panels, the green has been washed out with all the shading. I think there is too much black now.

The roof still needs to be fitted. Next is the engine.
Thanks for looking in.

Edit: Adding in more green is a no go. Tried it on the back panel, looks sooo wrong.

Thanks Garry.

Nice to see this one back on the bench! The colour looks very cool, somehow bright yet spooky at the same time. Looking forward to watching this develop.

Thanks guys.

This has turned into more of a slap rod than a rat rod, as in slap it together. The more I work on this the more detail I want to add.

The rear wheels will be stuffed into the tire's once the white walls have dried. I used white enamel with hopes it will flex more then acrylic I have used in the past, which led to cracking.

The rear tire's are 1/20 F1's from the late 90's.

Nice whitewall work. Crisp, clean lines and nicely round.

Thanks for the interest guys.
Shay, sure that is what it could be, I just slapped a take on the side of the engine, the slapped on the carbs. I only true purpose it serves it to give that side of the engine e some visual depth.

Thanks Kats.
Shay, ya man just a mash up of tubes, lol.

Getting closer to calling it done. Just a couple things to work out for the steering linkage and an upper rad hose, and attach the wheels.

Thanks Kats, considering it started life as a junk box build with a rat rod inspiration roughly 8yrs ago it seems to have taking on a life of it's own and wants to be a glam rod.
