Re: Spare a thought for us guys. Update: June 15th
Not sure about relaxing yet Ash, maybe slowing down a little would be more accurate!! LOL
At least this lot got saved:
The smaller boxes contain approx 200 completed builds and the larger ones about 250 kits!!
Going to invest in something like this:
Flood Defense
Can't go through this again.

WOW! Boxing Day came early. Looks like weather will take time to change its evil ways.

Hi Al,
Forgot to say, if you go down to check them out, pop round for a brew as they are only about 20 miles from my house...

Those flood doors look good .... And you get a free cuppa from Andy when you fetch them bargain lol.
I know this has probably crossed your mind but I'll feel better saying it .....also check around for breather bricks, cable entry holes, mains power conduit coming into the house under floor etc etc .. It all adds up in the water entering your building.
As I've said, I don't mind spending a long afternoon down there when you've dried up going round checking and filling holes with gobbo .... Did a stint of it when I was a sparkie years back so I know what I'm letting myself in for lol
Also like to add a bit of internet support for the poor people in oz suffering the fires, I have family around Adelaide and i know they worry around this time of year.

Thanks for reminder on the air bricks Colin, already on that too. Got 13 of them!!! And thanks for your kind offer too, I'll keep it in mind mate.
THE GREAT NEWS???
The 'Strip and dry' guys have been monitoring the damp in the walls and due to the fancy damp proof plaster that was applied following the last flood ten years ago, the house will be dry and ready for the builders to commence reparations in just two weeks time.
MORE GREAT NEWS!! The builders confirm that the reparations will not take more than a further four weeks, meaning we will be ready for new carpets to go down and the new furniture to arrive by mid February.

Hi Al,
You nearly got it right Sir, only instead of 'SH' it should've been 'NDY'...
Seriously though, this is great to hear Sir, fingers are still crossed...

Bruce..... despite feeding heavily, the remaining bees sadly died out. However, our local supplier is able to supply us with a Nuc later in the year, so we'll have another try then.
Hey, maybe we could have a natter about bees when things have settled down for us?

Yippeeeee! Got my computer back on my proper fibre optic connection again.
The dongle kept me going but at over £100 for a months connection, it's a bit spendy. It's also slow and kept dropping out every few minutes too.
But now it's like warp speed 10.

We do Andy. 30 miles from Newcastle, ten miles from my local market town and 1.5 miles from the village. The village got fibre last year so we jumped on it.
I guess, living in Welsh Wales, you haven't got it yet?
