Lamborghini Diablo V/T
From Revell.
Stripped the chrome from the engine parts. It just doesn't look right all mirrored.
Assembled the engine, gave it couple of base coats of aluminium, washed it with black ink and highlighted with silver.
I then wired it up and dealt with the exhaust manifolds.
After I removed all the flash lines and seams from the body I then gave a dry fit for all parts. Perfect.
I then put the body to prime and after a couple of days drying I smoothed it out as best as I could.
The bodywork was given three coats of Tamiya's TS12 orange.
After a week of drying I masked off all but the roof ready to give it a coat of semi gloss black.
It's always nerve wracking when the masking comes off but this turned out very well.
After the bodywork was polished and all the panel lines were inked, it was time to get the interior sorted and some seatbelts added.
The engine, interior and wheels were al finished. All that remains is the body.
A little bit of artistic license was used by adding black to the bodywork to break up the orange a bit.

Wow, very crisp. I struggle with trying to get that clean of a build.

Super job on this kit. All the colors work so well together. Super clean also.

My my MY!!!! Excellent work on that bull, or bullet! Engine still looks pretty shiny, but added parts and wiring put things in perspective. Nice job on the "dark wash."

Hi 2whl. In this case there was plenty space behind to just push in without glue (0.5mm) but if i'm putting 0.2mm wire into, say a distributor, I always use CA gel.

Lovely job mate...
As far as your artistic licence on the rear light cluster surround, it does look a whole lot better ... i'm sure they used to do that on the 1:1 in some Diablo versions thinking about it.
