I figured I better get this started for everyone now that my PC issues are over. Post your finished trucks in this thread.

Nice one Colin... so many little details to see. I love it but I wouldn't want to drive such a wreck!!

Looks good Paul.

Great work, Colin. Love the little details. Especially the catalytic converters and the 4 wheel disc brakes. Cool.

Nice little bit Paul. Love the payload details.

Both look super fine.  I remember seeing similar looking "mules" lined up at one of the National Guard storage places.  They too seemed pretty dull and each one like all the others.  The added material does help bring it to life.
When I saw the chassis view of the F-100 I thought those looked like catylic converters in addition to the mufflers.  In seeing so many pix of the "distressed" look I forgot she got a muscle transplant to keep the metal moving!

Two excellent examples of a "Truck". So much detail to look at, seems like a shrunken real thing.

Hi chaps,

Colin, you've hit it waaaaay out of the ball park yet again, it is stunning Sir...

Paul, love the Hummer, with it being a base vehicle it could be the SWO's work party truck, also love the cargo you've made for it, you must be like all the others and have bionic eye's, to get all that detail in...

Andy...

OK... she is finished for now. JohnJ is sending me a 1:25 driver..... when it arrives, I'll make a small diorama with it.

Nice and well detailed kit. Little tricky in places.

I added a sleeping bag, rolled up blanket, pillow, some pin ups, two layers of 2" foam rubber and a 'mens' magazine to the sleeper:

and in the cab I added on the seats: a thermos flask, a map, a pencil, and the drivers passport.

On the dash shelf I added: a pizza box, a thermos flask cup with coffee and a car mag.

Finally in the cab, I added a newspaper on the steering wheel:

Under the bonnet, I added all of the plumbing and wiring:

Finally, when it was finished, I gave it some light 'road grime'.

Instead of using the bed cover, I added some cargo instead and covered it with a tarpaulin made from nasal tissue and white glue.

Turned out great auld yin, love the subtle weathering ... what did you use?

And I take it that the decals are staying like that, no future plans to add the rest ? ( I think it looks better with fewer anyway to be honest )

Everyone came thru again!  The variety in type and scale, the choices in look and clean work made each one realistic.  Top marks for this group build!

Thanks guys.

Colin..... it's nobbut Tamiya Flat Earth (XF-52) sprayed sparingly through a .3mm airbrush.

Revell aren't able to supply a fresh set Colin, so I'm leaving it as is.

Colin: Great work. I particularly like the fact that the "gas cap" can double as a Molotov cocktail.
Al: Another fine result.

I enjoyed participating, and following and learning from fellow members.

Another great Community Build with widely varying subjects.

This one is a 1970's repop of a Highway Pioneers mold that dates back to the mid 50's.  Luckily this one was done in styrene as we know it today.  Many used an Acetate based plastic which was terrible to glue and always came out warped.  I'm happy with this one, though.  And it will look good in my collection of that series.

Thanks again for having a great Community Build,
Mike

Thats awesome Mike ... looks so fragile and yet, weirdly, a capable machine!!

All the little extras you've done make for a really neat and tidy build.
