What a stunning build Colin !!

I also need to apologize for not getting this thread started earlier for you. I was gone for a week getting another load for the move and all I had was my phone.

I have nearly bought this kit on two occassions. Now you have finished it, I won't deny the third temptation! LOL.

You have done a stunning job Colin.

Great weathering plus changing the window covers was inspired.

My next finished jobbie

OOB ... really gobsmacked with the quality of this kit ... minimum (read next to no) flash or cleaning to do

The level of detail is very good ... right down to the shovel/pickaxe moulding

The one thing im annoyed with is the top decal, i could not get it to sit down right no matter what... might just add a little more muck or pop a couple of canvass rolls on it ...

Some natural light ... some flash shots ....

That is a great looking Tank. I like the little figures I'll bet they were a bear to paint.

Hi Colin,

Very nicely done Sir, I'd live to know just how you manage to build such small models...

Hi Paul,

This is one sweet tank Sir, as Al said, the pre shading really worked out nicely...

Sorry I missed your finished post Colin.

You did a nice job on the Cromwell, looks ready to do battle.

I remember thie kit being a nice one from my build AND the problem with the top of turret decal. Solved mine with hods of decal softener!!! LOL.

Thanks chaps...

Al I hit it with quite a lot of shop decal fixer and some of my own (after all its just acetic acid (vinegar) and an emulsifier (fairy liquid) in its basic form) ... it just creased and folded over on itself ... my fault entirely.

Colin - I love the bus, you really know how to weather it. Love the Cromwell too, haven't seen this kit before.

Paul - Nice job, the pre-shading looks good, it will look good on the shelf.

and finished
whole thing was done as a bit of a speed build.....something to keep me going for a while, now i need to get the bench cleared ready for the next project
added some cargo on the back....gave the whole thing a dust wash which went wrong......i had a bottle of the humbrol 'sand' pigment so gave it a go..........wasnt impressed, the colour is far too yellow.....looked horrible in the pics once the flash got on it so i washed it off and redid it with MiG 'Gulf War Sand'
wanted to use the base that i did for the M60 since this is supposed to be 'in the desert', but since the Panzer II is a quarter of the size of the M60 it looked a bit lost , found a tent/figure set so used them just as something to fill it in.....if i hadnt been working to a tight schedule i might have tried covering the tent to give it some texture, and will do if it gets recycled at some point

Nice build Paul, added cargo gives it a bit extra.. looks good on the dio base too ... can see what you mean about it getting lost if it was on its own.

You doing another in this build? ... i might.

Got a couple of days to start one and we seem to be the only one's in it lol

You guys are REALLY, REALLY good!  Military work takes research and great paint/weathering skills to pull it off.  I salute you all!

Nice work Paul. I agree with Colin, the cargo gives it a lift. The dio looks good.
