'98 Trans Am
Revell's 1998 Trans Am. This has gone together well too. The interior masking was a PITA & its not great, but livable.
Tamiya Bright Red, straight from the can. No polish yet. Really happy with the shine.
I used auto store black on the windscreen surrounds. Not a good choice, it attacked the clear. I'll try to salvage it with some acrylic top coat.
Now I've just got to find the tail lights.

Lovely deep shine Chris and I love the colour too.

Engine area looks quite good. Model companies often have decent engines and mediocre interiors. Out of curiosity, what type of paint reacted with the clear plastic? Some petroleum-based paints (lacquer?) can do that.

Just an auto store enamel, aerosol. I often use the same brand on interiors with no issues- including this interior.
No biggie, some Tamiya satin black acylic has brought it up to passable.
Should have the body on the chassis tomorrow. A day off work so expect and update- and some more WIPs.
Cheers,
Chris

The elusive tail lights are still missing, but work goes on. Body on, then notice its way too high on
its rear springs. I ended up removing the springs all togther and its still too high. So more work there.
I've also left off the decals for the side marker lights, I didn't like the look.
Wouldn't you know it? There was one of these at the All American Day yesterday. It would have been great for research pics 3 months ago! Too late now.
Another shelf filler.
