PostSubject: 1/35 Dragon King Tiger   Wed 15 Apr 2015, 5:27 pm

I am putting the Hetzer on hold to finish this. A much more interesting
machine. I am doing it as a machine in April-May 1945 at the final stand
in Berlin. It is turret number 100, mainly dark yellow with some dark green
camouflage on the turret. I did the interior even though there is no real
interior with this kit, MM paints, Panzer Interior Buff and Burnt Sienna. I
plan on doing a King Tiger in the future with an interior, this gives me an
idea of how to do it, practice so to speak.---John

The turret interior and gun mount are painted the interior color. I can
now close it up, no more interior parts.---John

This kit came with figures but they are of no interest to me, they are infantry
and I was hoping for 2 crew figures. Does Dragon make and sell separate figures
for these tanks?---John

I have the basic hull assembled and the turret together. I want to paint
the hull it's basic color before I put the suspension and road wheels on.
I also want to completely assemble the turret and paint it before I add it
to the hull. This method worked good for me on my 1/35 Dragon Russian T34-76.---John

More work done, lotsa small parts added to the turret. I left the two
crew hatches on the turret so that they can be opened, just in case I
find two good figures for them.---John

Thanks, I have the barrel assembled, sanded and added to the turret, the suspension arms
on the hull and a few more hull parts. It's finally looking like a tank, can't wait to finish so I
can start another, hoping to pick up a Panther Ausf. D.---John

Hull and turret pretty much done except for some detailing and camouflage
painting. I gave them their initial coat of dark yellow, Tamiya rattle can TS-3.
Now comes the fun, painting 30 plus wheels and drive gears.---John
