Here is my Academy 1/35 Hetzer 38t, early version.I started this
a while ago and have not gotten far. I will work on
this and the Mercury capsule in tandem. I am thinking of keeping
the paint job easy, KISS, overall gelbbraun, a "dirty yellow". Then
do some intense weathering, maybe.---John

Looking forward to seeing the finished product. I'm liking the Dark Side more and more.

We don't see many tank destroyers built, so this will make a nice change.

John..... from early 1943, all German tanks were delivered to their units, painted in drab sand type colour (Tamiya XF-60 is a pretty good match IMO) so you are not far off with your colour choice.

Of course, most units added their own cam afterwards.

thats something i find fascinating...........the reddish brown and the green came as a paste that could be thinned with either water or petrol and then applied with anything from a spray gun to a sweeping brush to a rag!.....for us its good cos since the camo scheme was left up to the crews there wasnt two the same
