Hi Al,
Could you not do away with the lid and pop in a couple of seats, just a passing thought...
It will look great no matter what you do...

Not sure, but if the black box behind the turtle deck is meant to be a trunk, and the color will be black, I'd do the turtle cover in blue to keep the rear in just 2 colors, blue and matte black. That's just my view.

I was thinking to use the block of wood to replicate a wooden trunk and then replace the whole thing with it. Like a home made trunk on a car.

Thanks for all the input guys
I'd thought of that Andy but it already has four seats and that would make it a six seater!!! LOL
The black 'box' at the rear is the fuel tank Harron.
Hmmm....making the whole trunk out of a block of wood. Not sure about that. This may be a possibility though???
Or how about a Woodie?? I'm sure I can scare up a surfboard.
Just not sure how I'd scribe the doors though!!

Woody side trim would be a bit large. Maybe if it were smaller.

I thought thats what you meant Buck but I'm not reall keen on the idea. BTW, is that one of Bob's?
OK.... I have procrasinated on this for a week now so it's time to move on. I've decided to keep it simple and go with this:
The door cards in this kit are done in clear plastic, as they also include the side windows.
I wanted a cleaner, more hot rod look, so I removed the window and left just the door cards and because the front of the body is slightly channeled, the cards had to be channelled too.

Nice work keeping the look uniform, Al. If the rear is meant to open, a shiny grab bar would look nice.

Methinks, with the use of a higher case typeface, the above gentlemen aren't too enthused with the colour choice old bean.

I actually thought it was tape but didn't want to look like a plank (as usual) by mentioning it. Lol

I like the interior that you have in the upper photos. Front and rear seats match. Looks good in White also.

Re: Bugati T50.... with a difference.
OK..... in the end the decision was made for me, when I realised I probably don't have enough paint to do the seat panels in blue AND do a small touch in on the roof!!!
So..... just to give a bit of colour and safety, I added some body colour seatbelts including adjuster tags. You'll have to look hard for those. The dashboard will also be body colour. If I have enough paint left after the roof touch up, I may do the door card inserts in blue too.
The front seats were pre-drilled for headrests, which have gone AWOL..... so instead of making some, I decided that the rear passengers may appreciate some grab handles instead. Before the interior is installed, these will be finished in Alclad II Chrome.

Re: Bugati T50.... with a difference.
The only decal in the kit is for the instrument panel. It sits between the panel and a glass cover which is very nice. However, the same cannot be said about the instruments decal.
Either it was never properly rendered or 'box rash' has got to it over the last 24 years.!! They are even the wrong colour. they shoud be black gauges with chrome bezels.
I simply made the best I could of them by painting the panel brown.
Mike suggested that the trunk should have a handle, so hey presto, one handle. Actually, it's part of the chrome sprue I'm not using. It will be stripped and sprayed with Alclad chrome before final attachment.

Re: Bugati T50.... with a difference.
I'd been pondering what to do about the exhaust. I didn't want a standard issue thing. Had to come out the side. In the end it was easy. I just slightly modified the angle at the front end of the original exhaust pipe that goes over the rear axle. Job done. LOL
Of course, that bend inwards before outwards, is to get the pipe to the correct tuned length you understand. LOL
