I think the outdoor train layouts, in various scales, originated in Britain. I remember seeing an ep of the old AVENGERS TV series with a scale train. Diana Rigg was tied to the tracks with an engine coming at her. Here in the U.S. there are some large scale RR layouts with usually owner/builders very proud of their work. Thanx!

I looked at this property on-line, and it can be yours for a mere 3.5 million!! Your own railroad on almost 20 acres of land.

I just watched it again. 3.5 million is really not that bad a price in today's money. That's a lot of stuff in 20 acres and how much would it cost to build it?

I agree that the price did not seem that out of sight for what this property included. The real estate advertisement did not say what train rolling stock, if any, was included.

It did say that the estimate to duplicate it now, from scratch, including the property and house, would be around 7 million.

WOW! The location and house are beautiful. I would have put a track that go where is the mailbox, and add a mail car on the train.

Years ago I saw a house that had a gokart track running thru the property. Still my favorite... :D
