Old Henrys love child.....

Welll I often have several projects on the go at he same time....So it is the turn of a '53 Ford vicky,I have quartered the lower fenders off a '57 Chevy and want to work them into the shell,there was several days thinking involved but what the hell.If I screw it up then what have I lost?   

You know I love this kind of modeling !!

So here it is with two fenders fitted,I am doing one side at a time.......

Looking sweet.

One side is virtually done,a few pin holes etc to fill but it is near there.The widows peak has been removed from the headlight area and the rear bottom of the rear wing has been profiled upwards in a sweep.

Love it Nigel. Looks like there is some alignment work on the lower pan where the fenders meet the doors. I think it would look much sleeker if you removed the quarter lights. It would lighten up the windscreen posts. What are you doing with the front end?

Chers Dave,Yes the bottoms need work but I have a plan there....
As for the front end I intend to section a spare front from an AMT Ford Galaxie and work it in.

Yeah, very neat work for certain. It will be interesting to see if we'll like the finished Ford-olet.

I have filed in the rocker area with p-card and bondo.




Sort of after...It still neds work,I want to be as good as possible before starting the other side...

I have options for the grille work,once I fit the left front fender I can start to sort out this area.


Question gents,I have the choice of two engines....the v6 could proper the Jag XJ220 to over 200mph so dont knock a V6!! While the blown V8 is lost in the memory banks - any guess there?

Never ever knock a V6 !!! Definitely wise words....many's the young kid who's thought the old guy in the old Saab is an easy target lol.

My vote is for the 6.

I have a front end of a 57 from years ago if you want to graft it on, I'll send you a pic.

I'd like to see the build with the hood closed and no supercharger sticking out. Do you not have the engine that came with the kit? I'd be tempted to stuff any engine in there and then glue the hood closed. To me this build is all about the body work and you only need an engine when you look at the bottom of the car.
