June 28th, 2014. I know I forgot that I hadn't posted this one yet. Some peoples kids, man I'll tell you what. Anyway Butcher Bob and I went over for the show. It was a rainy day ( nothing new for Washington) So the model car contest and some of the venders were setup inside buildings. The rain kept some of the modelers and full size cars away, but it was their loss. The afternoon turned sunny and bright. here are the photos I took at the show.

This is the slideshow link.

I entered 6 models and took a first place in pre 1960 Stock with my 1950 Oldsmobile.

Also my Mickey Thompson Challenger 1 won the Billetproof Pick. It's like the Best of Show. Second year in a row for me to win this award. last year the Showboat won it. Maybe the secret is to build models with ,more than one engine.

In all seriousness I am very fortunate to win that award two years in a row. There are some very talented builders that work very hard at their hobby. I was very dumbfounded when they called my name. I thought this Studebaker would win it for sure.

Some great photos there Buck.

Congratulations on the gongs, both are well deserved IMO.

That lakes Stude does look good though.

Two more awards for your wall of fame, well deserved. Thanks for the fotos, the variety of the builds and imagination was impressive.
Cheers Eh!

It is Helrod, I also entered Son of a Beach. But they were in the exhibit only class. I didn't feel right competing with something I didn't build. But I did want people to see your work. This is the only show where you can write exhibit on the tag and it won't be judged. Hope you don't mind.

Don't mind at all ! Considered your property now. I was just surprised is all.
I like the way the entries are displayed. The MAGS shows here in Fla have all the models bunched around a large drive in model. They kind of get lost amid the pack.
