PostSubject: Pacific Northwest Model Car Fest 2014   Sat 22 Feb 2014, 5:12 pm

Although I am not a member of the presenting club (Scale Auto Builders Association), I wanted to let everyone know that the 2014 Pacific Northwest Model Car Fest is upcoming on Saturday, March 29, from 9 to 4. The show is in Portland, OR, at the Airport Holiday Inn in the ballrooms.

This is a NNL format show, with contest, swap meet, raffles and seminars. This years' theme is "Mustangs" (including Shelbys), in celebration of the Mustang's 50th anniversary.

I will be attending this show, and hopefully will have the Bonneville Salt Shaker bug done in time. I will also be making a seminar presentation in the morning on "Machining Parts from Aluminum". My Sherline lathe is portable, so I am bringing it along to show how to turn small parts. As a demo, I will be making a fire extinguisher from a drawing I have created. This is a fairly easy part that I can get done in the time allotted.

Hope I can see some of you there!

Hi Pete,

It's a bit far for me sorry, will you be able to do a YouTube film of both you presentation and of the show for us over the pond to see, if possible please...

Probably not after spending over $300 on the show last week end.
