A little further on..
Correct style hinges made, Bumpers and Grille dechromed and a lick of paint on the A-100.
Colour is lighter than in the photos, and when the blue is hardened I will mask off for the off white lower panels and wheels.
The rear wheel arches are slightly widened to accommodate slicks, but I'm not too fussed, they look okay to me.
The '48 Ford is now wearing the first couple of coats of Ford ST Electric Orange.

Like the progress and colour choices on both builds. Would you share what kind of paint are you using ? enamels, acrylics, laquers ? Thanks
Cheers Eh!

Interesting builds. I like both and they show the imagination and talent you have. The '48 Ford was the last of the old style ones and the slab-sided '49 was a revolution and the car that saved Ford as the Taurus decades later sold like ten cent donuts.

Re: a couple of WIP's I have decided to try and finish
Thanks - should have more progress over the weekend.
The paints I generally use are automotive rattle cans, for primer, base coat and lacquer from our local 'Halfords' branches here in the UK.
I occasionally use specialist candies through an airbrush, but very rarely, and the odd acrylic for weathering.
This will be the third Little Red Wagon I have had, - non of the others made it to completion.

The rattle can says 'Ford Nordic Blue' Chris - It's a recent Euro Ford colour,
but I use whatever I have in my cupboards.
I'm hoping to have the little truck finished in a couple of days, decaled and loaded.

Hi Mr D,
These are looking sweet Sir, that Orange is a beautiful colour and the little A-100 looks so much better without chrome...

Re: a couple of WIP's I have decided to try and finish
I finally finished my '48 Ford Custom that I was building on a Rodding site.
Am I happy?....not really.
I can still see the difference in the paint of the body and bonnet,
The Cobra engine sits it bit too low - unlike the suspension,
which could be lower, but after fitting the glass and interior tub this is the best it gets.
but it's done, There you go !
