A 1948 Ford Custom by Revell, and the Little Red Wagon I inherited minus the Drag Racing parts,
so the Dodge A100 is going stock - well kinda.
..no comment needed - and I'll keep you updated when I have any progress ! Thanks.

A little further on..
Correct style hinges made, Bumpers and Grille dechromed and a lick of paint on the A-100.
Colour is lighter than in the photos, and when the blue is hardened I will mask off for the off white lower panels and wheels.
The rear wheel arches are slightly widened to accommodate slicks, but I'm not too fussed, they look okay to me.
The '48 Ford is now wearing the first couple of coats of Ford ST Electric Orange.

Like the progress and colour choices on both builds. Would you share what kind of paint are you using ? enamels, acrylics, laquers ? Thanks
Cheers Eh!

Interesting builds. I like both and they show the imagination and talent you have. The '48 Ford was the last of the old style ones and the slab-sided '49 was a revolution and the car that saved Ford as the Taurus decades later sold like ten cent donuts.

Thanks - should have more progress over the weekend.
The paints I generally use are automotive rattle cans, for primer, base coat and lacquer from our local 'Halfords' branches here in the UK.
I occasionally use specialist candies through an airbrush, but very rarely, and the odd acrylic for weathering.

This will be the third Little Red Wagon I have had, - non of the others made it to completion.

The rattle can says 'Ford Nordic Blue' Chris - It's a recent Euro Ford colour,
but I use whatever I have in my cupboards.
I'm hoping to have the little truck finished in a couple of days, decaled and loaded.

Hi Mr D,

These are looking sweet Sir, that Orange is a beautiful colour and the little A-100 looks so much better without chrome...

After the guide coats on the Ford had settled it showed flaws in my filling, so I had to go back in and blend more filler.
I think it's sorted now, and I'll have to start on the top coat build up.
Also, the flathead is now in my spares box and I've got a Cobra in the engine bay.

Quick update : The little Dodge is coming along nicely,
and if I can find time over the weekend, I should have it finished.
It's all down to the detail now.

Okay, today I completed the Little Dodge truck (check out the 'finished' thread)
...just the '48 Ford to do now.

I finally finished my '48 Ford Custom that I was building on a Rodding site.

Am I happy?....not really.
I can still see the difference in the paint of the body and bonnet,
The Cobra engine sits it bit too low - unlike the suspension,
which could be lower, but after fitting the glass and interior tub this is the best it gets.
but it's done, There you go !
