The 1967 copyright probably refers to when the mold was first cut.
It might have been reissued in the 1970's - that makes it just "old".

correct........this is one of those that Airfix has always had in the range, this one is about 10 years old (you can tell by the box style)

You ain't kidding when you say ancient. I made one of these when I was in school. The one thing I was disappointed with, is that this kit never came with a gun crew. But it is Airfix! always happy memories.

1967, that was just a few years ago, right? Nice looking kit and it will take time to do it up with all the painting details. Good luck! It would look great as part of a diorama too.

next step is to add a windscreen and sort out the dodgy rubber tracks

Looks good Paul... Can I sense a little dio coming on or maybe a little wooden base?

Looking good Paul. I love desert camo.

Yep, looking good.
Years ago when I built my 88 & tractor, I also had the Airfix 'Afrika Korps' figures (that came in a box of about 30?)
I meticulously painted every soldier, but because they were made of a rubbery material,
the paint quickly rubbed off!

Very nice and the "wash" takes the blandness of one color away. The top has really excellent weathering too. You crank out the models almost as fast as they did the real ones!
