Thanks for the kind words guys.
Been working on the eng. and painting the chassis parts, got the eng. just about done but have to put the blower belt and the fuel pump on then it's ready to install in the chassis

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0623_zps48b5c085

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0622_zps1f676d98

Got to playing with the front and rear susp on colors, I read some where that you could use dark blue instead of black with alclad so I tried it

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0617_zps92b68060

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0619_zpsf4b03dae

I kinda like it with the blue undercoat  Tommy Grove Mustang F/C 2481775780  What do you guys think about it ??

I'm just about ready to put the chassis together and do the white on the body, maybe this weekend if I'm lucky  Tommy Grove Mustang F/C 3887228019

Buck, if your going to try the dark blue I brushed the dark blue on then let it dry and then dap the Alclad II on with a brush  Tommy Grove Mustang F/C 3887228019  It does work this way and good for doing sections of a part you want chromed. I do need to give the front springs a second coat to cover the blue more. Let me know what you think about the blue ? Been wanting to do something in black to check the difference but just haven't done it yet.  Tommy Grove Mustang F/C 1496391374

Looks like a pretty good kit. I like that there are rear brakes included. Unusual mount on the Ford cammer engine distributor. Thanx, I've seen the kits at stores, so it's available, thanx!

Hope I can get the rest of the chassis done soon and paint the white on the body then clear coat and decal it by the end of this week end but I'll see what happens. Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome  Tommy Grove Mustang F/C 3887228019

Got back to working on this after a few things dried, started putting the chassis together which showed some fit issues

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0654_zpsd980f7a2

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0655_zps186425c4

the tab on the cockpit is off on the rear eng. mount ( think the mount is offset and I got it backwards )  Tommy Grove Mustang F/C 4191971827  Got the white on and one coat of clear

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0656_zpsd3c15725

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0658_zps0ae113ed

Set the body on the chassis just to see how it looked

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0659_zps9fa0054f

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0660_zps1b5a9246

Going to do the decals tonight and put 2 more coats of clear on when done and the wind quits blowing above 3mph  Tommy Grove Mustang F/C 3887228019

Might build another chassis if this one doesn't pan out good, I got 3 more kits.
Thanks for looking and the kind comments guys  Tommy Grove Mustang F/C 3331969777

Well, I was putting on the decal's, which are thick and take a long time to settle with Micro Sol and got most of them done and set the body on the chassis in the right place with the rear pivot in the body and found the wheel base is about 1/8" too long

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0686_zps2e8a61e3

Not happy with the way that looks I put another body together to see how to correct it

1. Go and shortin the chassis ( NO WAY )
2. Strip the body, add to the length of the body between the front wheel opening and the windshield ( A LOT LESS WORK ) Wasn't real happy with the paint job cause it got messed up trying to slide the decal around and had 3 stick before they where it the proper place which I had to scrap off and chipped the paint.
Here is the other body for the mod's and to get every thing set right.

Tommy Grove Mustang F/C PICT0684_zpsb747b8be

Going to put the orig. body in the purple pond for a couple days while I get the body mod's figured out.  Tommy Grove Mustang F/C 4039365958
