view from my modelling desk.
The view from my 'modeling desk', well my chair actually. Anne & I ended up camping here for 2 nights. I usually take a kit camping & do the sanding & scraping.
The reason we were here was this fella. Had the camp 90% set up, fridge cooling the all important BEER, when Anne noticed this fella happily asleep.
Its a carpet snake- a python and not venomous.
Regardless we weren't going to have him a metre away from the tent!
So that's how we ended up at a better spot.

Looks like a nice camping spot to me Don't think I'd be taking a kit along to work on cause I'd be out looking for some wildlife to watch and that little fella was just savin you a good camping place.
Tell yaa little about my camping, me and 3 other people would go camping all the time in one spot here in AZ. 001 have been doing it for 2 years and liked the trees there in the desert camp spot
One sunday in the spring we woke up and found 3 good size rattle snakes about 4 ft. from us. We took some pictures and left them alone and they left us alone, made coffee over the camp fire and just stayed there til it was time to go home. We had the old film cameras and got it delevoped, could see the rattlers real good in the pictures but if you looked at the negatives you could see more than 3, we've been camping next to a rattle snake den for over 2 years and never knew it and never had any issues with them either.

Don't care a whole lot for snakes, either.

No snakes in Ireland, not even little green grass snakes.

Florida has some big...no, BIG snakes on the loose. Stay out of the tall weeds! Luv the beautiful camping spot. Looks like a SW U.S. place by a small river.

Being his next door neighbour I can vouch for those bloody creatures. They have a sting better than a scorpion.
