PostSubject: Matchbox fun with USS San Diego kit   Thu 19 Sep 2013, 12:06 pm

A few months ago a friend gave me an old Matchbox kit of the USS San Diego. I decided to convert it to a sister ship, the USS Oakland. Removed a lot of the chunky Matchbox detail with my knife and used a lot of spare parts. Managed to shave off some skin on my left thumb and stabbed myself once, but its fun.

After having reached this stage I was still cutting bits off with my knife, final pictures will show something different.
