Have a fan and shroud squeezed in behind the skull. It'll be slightly visible and suggest the imaginary radiator further into the skull.
And now, the body and skull are an integral unit. Awaiting refinement.

Re: Not a Moustang III anymore
Starting the molding.
Around the top of the eye sockets:
And base form for the run back :
Now with a coat of primer:
And just in case anyone gets the idea that this is a wussy ride, I'm giving it a tad of backbone !!!
As I went thru my stash of "bone pile", I'm showing y'all what marvelous restraint I used regarding backbone material !

Workin on it.
Airbrush not co-operating, so I'm relying more on hand work.
Stay tuned !

Re: Not a Moustang III anymore
Have you tried adding a little dish soap/window cleaner and/or glycerin (wallyworld)? The soap breaks skin tension and helps the paint flow. The glycerin extends the drying time. I have a recipe for acrylic thinner somewhere.

Re: Not a Moustang III anymore
Sounds like a good idea, Don. I usually don't have trouble in other mediums. I'll have to try that sometime. Pretty much have this where I ain't too anxious to mess with it any more.wisdonm wrote:Have you tried adding a little dish soap/window cleaner and/or glycerin (wallyworld)? (Shallow, I am)
Starting assembly and putting together...stuff.
Here I have added the air cleaner (scoop) risers and put in a couple of braided lines to the manifold.... for whatever function they may add. Mostly because they look cool.
And I'm salvaging the scratched dash from the Frankenstein fiasco with a new steering wheel.

Re: Not a Moustang III anymore
Whilst I think this is a great looking build, I'm also not sure whether to be scared or not at the same time...

I really dig it. I've got a mouse skull in the parts box I've wanted to use in the same fashion as the skull on the Difibullator.

Re: Not a Moustang III anymore
Curt, Before I retired I owned a transmission shop. I built the transmission for that car. It was still in primer when I drove it to check out the tranny. It was built by Larry Foss is Montesano, Washington. I am not sure who he built it for. it was a customers car, it wasn't his. He said the guy wanted it " As Rothish as possible" I think Larry did a great job on it. That was about 2006 or 2007. Hard to remember now.
