Die Cast Camper Rework
This is a diecast- tore it down & chrome BMF on the mouldings, satin BMF on the camper window frames. Repainted the interior- luckily Tamiya Royal Blue is a near perfect match so I could give it the "acres of painted metal" look pickup interiors had back then.
Not much to report there so no WIP posts.
Swapped out the tyres for something skinnier, they're still a touch too wide. I can live with that.
Not much to do on the engine- it & the inner fenders are one piece, so I picked out what I could with paint.
The camper is a shell- windows painted black & no interior at all.
I would not want to be driving this in 1:1 ! Powerglide, drum brakes and that rear overhang! I can imagine the queues of angry drivers
stuck behind it.
Cheers,
Chris

Looks good. I have seen many just like it. My step dad had one of them.

Probably right on snail pace acceleration and maneuverability, but, BUT... it's really beautiful and brings me thoughts of getting away from it all with one.

I like that, looks a lot better than what all the grey nomads drive around in here.
